Warranty
Every Seasteel comes with a five year movement guarantee. Sixty months from the date of dispatch, covering manufacturing and material defects in the Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement.
What’s covered
- The movement. If the G101 develops a manufacturing or material defect within five years, we repair or replace it at no cost, including shipping both ways.
- Water resistance, for the first two years, provided the crown was screwed down and the watch was pressure tested by us or an authorised service centre at any service.
- Transferable. The guarantee follows the watch, not the buyer. If you sell it, the new owner is covered for the balance of the term with the warranty card or proof of the original dispatch.
What’s not covered
- The outside. Case, bezel, crystal, crown, caseback, bracelet, straps and clasp are excluded. These parts take the knocks the movement is protected from.
- Damage and misuse. Drops, impacts, scratches, normal wear, ageing of the lume, theft or loss.
- Water damage from exceeding 300m, operating the crown underwater, or a crown that wasn’t screwed down.
- Magnetism. Phone cases, laptop lids and speaker magnets can stop a mechanical watch. Demagnetising is a quick service job, not a defect.
- Service by anyone else. Opening the caseback or having the watch serviced outside Moore Watch Co or an authorised centre ends the guarantee.
- A skipped service. The G101 should be serviced every five years. Problems caused by running it past that aren’t covered.
How to make a claim
Email info@moorewatch.co with your order number, a description of the problem and, if you can, a short video. We’ll confirm cover within two business days and send a prepaid, insured shipping label. Repairs happen in Switzerland and typically take four to six weeks door to door.
The small print
This guarantee is in addition to any consumer rights you have in your country, and doesn’t limit them. It applies to watches bought from moorewatch.co or an authorised retailer.
